About the scan
What is an LDCT Scan?
A Low-Dose Computed Tomography (LDCT) scan is a special kind of X-ray that takes multiple pictures as you lie on a table that slides in and out of the machine.
A computer then combines these images into a detailed picture of your lungs. It uses up to 90% less radiation than a conventional CT scan, making it safe for annual screening, and requires absolutely no needles or contrast dyes.
